Dear Fellow Community Member,

Hermit’s Peak Watershed Alliance (HPWA) is a local, grass-roots nonprofit organization with the mission to foster watershed stewardship and ensure the long-term vitality of the human and natural communities of the Hermit’s Peak region, specifically the Gallinas, Sapello, and Tecolote watersheds.

Currently, our organization has been working hard to improve the health of regional watersheds by improving riparian areas, rivers and streams, helping landowners manage their livestock with fencing and watering systems, and by controlling erosion with natural structures and improved plant cover. HPWA also hosts numerous education programs to help all of us be watershed stewards. Healthy watersheds and rivers are critical to maintaining a clean and abundant water supply for Las Vegas and the vast surrounding community.

In the past, the majority of our funding has been limited to government grants and small private donations. With your help we can broaden our support and continue to care for our local watersheds. An annual donation of only $20 (or more if you choose) would be considered a supporting membership.

Membership will provide you with:

 A feeling of connection to your community and its watershed

 Invitations to lectures, workshops, and events

 A hard copy of the HPWA Newsletter

 A designer sticker of your choice
